Which vehicles qualify?
Vehicles with engine capacity from 600cc to 1500cc, subject to valuation and approval.
Do I choose the vehicle?
Yes. You identify a vehicle and notify the RUBIX office. The office then values and assesses it before approval.
What documents are needed?
Your original National ID and KRA PIN are required for in-person registration. Where needed for income and affordability assessment, RUBIX may also request either a bank statement or an M-Pesa statement covering the most recent six months. The team will tell you if this supporting document applies to your application.
How much is the deposit?
KES 25,600 for 600–800cc; KES 32,200 for 801–1,000cc; and KES 43,000 for 1,001–1,500cc.
How much do I pay daily?
KES 380, KES 520 or KES 1,010 per day depending on the approved engine-capacity band. The estimated number of daily instalments depends on the approved vehicle price, 15% financing interest and applicable deposit.
How is the 15% financing interest applied?
RUBIX calculates 15% of the approved vehicle cash price and adds it once to that price to determine the total hire-purchase price. The applicable deposit is deducted from this total, and the remaining balance is divided by the daily repayment to estimate the repayment period. The 15% is included in the total; it is not charged again after the daily instalments.
How long does the process take?
The intended turnaround is less than a week, subject to complete documentation, valuation, approval and vehicle availability.
How do I pay?
Use RUBIX Paybill 1379122, Paybill name RUBIX METAVERSE, and your National ID number as the account number. Pay the daily amount in your signed agreement.
Who owns the vehicle during repayment?
The vehicle remains registered under RUBIX until the customer completes all payments and the transfer process is formally completed.
What happens after four weeks without payment?
Four consecutive weeks of non-payment may trigger a contractual default review. Any immobilisation or recovery action is subject to the signed agreement, applicable law, prior notice, human review and safe procedures.
More answers about the RUBIX process
These answers explain how vehicle selection, assessment, payments and collection fit together.
Can I register before finding a vehicle?
Yes. You can begin with customer registration at the RUBIX office, then identify a suitable vehicle and share its details for assessment.
Does RUBIX provide a list of vehicles?
The customer identifies a vehicle from an eligible yard. RUBIX then assesses the specific vehicle rather than treating every vehicle in the stated engine range as automatically approved.
What vehicle details should I share?
Share the registration number, make and model, engine capacity, asking price, yard name and location, plus any available supporting vehicle information.
Can I use the calculator before visiting?
Yes. Enter the vehicle price and engine capacity to see an indicative estimate of the deposit, daily repayment and repayment period. Final terms are confirmed by the office and written agreement.
How are payments made?
Payments are made manually through RUBIX Paybill 1379122. The Paybill name is RUBIX METAVERSE and the account number is the customer's National ID number. Keep the M-Pesa confirmation message for your records. The office reconciles payments against its Paybill statement.
What should I keep after making a payment?
Keep each M-Pesa confirmation message and your signed agreement. These records help you refer to the date, amount and transaction reference when discussing your account with the office.
When do I collect the vehicle?
Collection is arranged after the vehicle has been approved, the agreement has been completed and the required deposit and documentation have been confirmed by the office.
Who can I contact for help?
Contact the RUBIX office on +254 20 493 8000 or visit Regus, Laiboni Centre, 4th Floor, Lenana Road, near Yaya Centre, Nairobi. Confirm the RUBIX reception arrangements before travelling.
