The RUBIX process

From registration to collection.

The entire process is designed to take less than a week, subject to complete documents, vehicle availability, valuation and approval.

1

Visit the RUBIX office

Register in person and present your National ID and KRA PIN. Our team records your details and explains the next steps.

2

Find your preferred vehicle

Look for a vehicle within 600cc–1500cc from an eligible vehicle yard. Once you identify it, inform the RUBIX office and share the vehicle details.

3

Office valuation

RUBIX assesses the proposed vehicle, its condition, documentation and value before making a financing decision.

4

Vehicle approval

If the vehicle meets the applicable criteria, the office confirms approval and communicates the deposit and repayment terms.

5

Sign the contract and pay deposit

Read and sign the financing agreement. Pay the deposit applicable to the vehicle's engine-capacity band using the official payment instructions.

6

Collect your vehicle

Once the contract and payment requirements are confirmed, collection is arranged through the RUBIX office.

Your journey, explained

What each stage means for you

RUBIX follows an office-led process so that the customer, the proposed vehicle and the financing terms are reviewed before collection.

1. Start with customer registration

Visit the RUBIX office with your original National ID and KRA PIN. The team records your registration details, verifies your identity in person and explains how to proceed with a vehicle selection.

2. Identify a suitable vehicle

Search at an eligible vehicle yard for a vehicle within the 600cc–1500cc range. Note the registration details, asking price, engine capacity and yard contact so the office can identify the exact vehicle.

3. Allow the office to assess it

The proposed vehicle is reviewed for condition, identifying details, supporting documentation and value. This assessment helps RUBIX determine whether the vehicle can be considered under the financing arrangement.

4. Review the financing decision

If the vehicle is approved, RUBIX calculates the hire-purchase price by adding financing interest equal to 15% of the approved vehicle cash price. That interest is included in the total amount payable. The office then explains the deposit, daily instalment, estimated repayment period and other agreed terms before you accept.

5. Complete the agreement and deposit

The written agreement records the vehicle, cash price, hire-purchase price, deposit, instalment schedule and relevant responsibilities. Sign the agreement and make the required deposit using the official instructions provided by the office.

6. Arrange collection

After the required documents and payments have been confirmed, the office coordinates the vehicle handover. Keep your signed agreement and payment records for reference throughout the repayment period.

Make your first office visit count

Arriving prepared helps the team guide you through registration and explain the next step without unnecessary back-and-forth.

Bring: your original National ID and KRA PIN details. If requested for affordability assessment, also bring either a bank statement or M-Pesa statement covering the most recent six months.
