Understand the RUBIX engine-capacity bands

The applicable deposit and daily repayment are grouped by engine capacity. The proposed vehicle must still be assessed by the office before financing can be confirmed.

600cc – 800cc

This band covers eligible smaller-engine vehicles. The listed deposit is KES 25,600 and the daily repayment is KES 380.

801cc – 1,000cc

This band covers eligible vehicles in the middle of the RUBIX range. The listed deposit is KES 32,200 and the daily repayment is KES 520.

1,001cc – 1,500cc

This band covers eligible vehicles with larger engine capacity within the programme. The listed deposit is KES 43,000 and the daily repayment is KES 1,010.

What should you look at in the yard?

Take time to identify the exact vehicle you want RUBIX to assess. A clear set of details makes it easier for the office to follow up with the yard.

Vehicle identity

Record the registration number, make, model, year where available, engine capacity and chassis or other identifying details provided by the yard.

Condition and asking price

Ask about the vehicle's condition, service history and asking price. RUBIX will conduct its own valuation and review before deciding whether the vehicle is eligible.

How to submit a vehicle for consideration

After identifying the vehicle, contact the RUBIX office with the details and yard information. The team will explain how to arrange the assessment and what supporting information may be needed.
